Formatting Text Area
Introduction
appero quote offers you the possibility to split a text area into up to four columns. The gear icon on a text area opens a window for column configuration:
Configuration
Set up to four columns with individual width and spacing. The preview window shows you how the setting affects your existing text:
In the Layout area you can set the number, width and spacing of your columns individually:
Display | Function | Explanation |
---|---|---|
Number of columns | Place up to four columns per item. The preview adapts to your selection | |
Width of the column in % | By default, the column width is initially distributed linearly, you can then adjust the value manually | |
Display of the column width via slider | As an alternative to entering percentage values, you can also flexibly set the column width using the slider. | |
Total width of columns | As soon as the value exceeds 100%, the background turns red and saving is no longer possible | |
Reset | Reset your adjustments to the linear distribution using this button. | |
Column spacing (px) | Specification of the padding, i.e. the distance between the columns in pixels. Default value 10 px. |
Content editing of the columns
Text editing and distribution to the columns is done via inline editing in the editor, by clicking on the pencil icon on the right edge of the text element:
You can jump from column to column using the mouse or the Tab key.
Please check the display of multi-column text areas in your quote PDF. A CSS adjustment may be necessary for this area.
