Notes on Performance
General
In general, the fast loading time of appero quote Lightning is considered a key advantage of our product. Nevertheless, in exceptional cases there may be delays due to incompletely loaded pages or performance warnings in the browser window. The causes can be manifold. Below you will find an overview of possible influencing factors that can help you to isolate the problem.
Technical requirements for the Salesforce Lightning Experience
First, consider Salesforce's technical requirements for the Lightning Experience.
The minimum requirements are:
An Octane value of at least 20,000
A network latency of maximum 200 ms
A download speed of at least 1 Mbit/s
Minimum 5 GB RAM with 2 GB available for Salesforce browser tabs
For the fastest and most stable user experience, the following is recommended:
An Octane value of at least 30,000
A network latency of maximum 150 ms
A download speed of at least 3 Mbit/s
Minimum 8 GB RAM with 3 GB available for Salesforce browser tabs
You can determine your Octane value, latency, and download speed by running the Salesforce performance test. To run the test, attach speedtest.jsp
to your organization's domain.
https://MyDomainName.lightning.force.com/speedtest.jsp
It is recommended to run this test on the same hardware, network and physical location as your users.
Real-time information on system performance and security for your Salesforce instance can be viewed at https://trust.salesforce.com or https://status.salesforce.com / https://status.salesforce.com/products/Salesforce_Services. If current problems are listed here, this will of course also affect the performance of appero quote.
General influencing factors
Also, check other factors that may affect appero quote load time / performance:
Internet connection / Wi-Fi
Hardware
Browser
Browser AddOns
Number of open windows/tabs
Software opened in parallel
Remaining hard disk space
Recommendations for problem containment
For an exact analysis, it is recommended to log in via the user management with the Salesforce user of the affected colleague and trace the delay step by step. If the performance is fine other than the colleague himself, please continue with the following questions:
Does the Internet connection differ from colleagues?
Does the hardware differ significantly?
Is another browser being used?
Are browser extensions in use and active?
Are very many browser windows or tabs open?
How extensive is the quote that is experiencing loading delays?
Are there a lot of programs open overall?
Is the free hard disk space too small?
Does the problem persist after restarting the operating system and when no other software is open?
