Introduction
The standard product search in appero quote allows you to search by product name, product code and unit of measure. If you have search criteria that go beyond this, we recommend the advanced product search.
The advanced product search is located behind the funnel icon next to the product search input:
Range of functions
You can use the advanced product search to include additional (custom) fields that you have maintained on your product record. The following field types are covered:
Text
Picklist
Checkbox
Number
Currency
Date
Lookup
For configuration see the corresponding section in the Administration area.
Application
The advanced product search works simultaneously with the normal search input, the results of the filtering are displayed in the product bar upon confirmation of the dialog.
Icon | Function | Explanation |

 | Full text search on text fields | By default, the Description field is stored, query other custom fields if needed. |
Filter on a picklist field | You can store any picklist fields on the product2 as search criteria. | |
Filter on a checkbox | Please note that checkboxes in the detailed search are also displayed as picklists to avoid pre-filtering for true or false. | |
With Apply you confirm the entered filter criteria | The search results are displayed immediately in the product bar. | |
With Reset you delete existing filters. | Entered filter criteria remain active in the search until reset. | |
Close the input window. | Otherwise, the window remains open and can be adjusted as desired. |
For better orientation, the set filters are displayed below the product search:
Please note that once set, filters are not automatically reset after you select a product. If necessary, leave the product filter modal open to quickly adjust the filters.
