Ad Formats

Introduction

The ad format defines the concrete dimensions of a placement. These dimensions can be defined for print products as well as for digital or other formats. In the case of advertising formats that are not so strongly based on dimensions, such as a speaker's slot at an event, the ad format object can of course also be filled at a reduced rate.

Concrete ad formats are assigned to the respective publication and possible associated placements.

Difference between placement and ad format

An ad format, e.g. the ad in the size 200 mm x 150 mm, can be used by different placements. In terms of content, this means that an advertisement of the same size is placed in different places in the magazine or newsletter.

The size specifications can be handled individually:

The size specifications in MediaVelox allow a very flexible mapping of the ad formats used.

They primarily define the unit of measurement for width and height - e.g. mm, pixels, columns - as well as the corresponding exact dimension in numerical values (e.g. width: 210 mm, height 297 mm). In addition to the external dimensions, the exact type area can also be specified optionally.
