The AdSales-Process in MediaVelox

Introduction
MediaVelox is our Salesforce-based solution for the media industry. The solution has been developed throughout years of experience working with Salesforce projects in the industry and brings together the know-how and practice-oriented processes in one single solution.
The following documentation gives an overview of the MediaVelox and appero quote’s AdSales process.
AdSales - Consistent processes for your sales
The AdSales section contains all processes related to advertisements in all advertising channels. In addition to sales planning and actual sales process, AdSales also includes the downstream processes such as scheduling, after sales process and advertisement management.
Brief description of objects:
The following objects from the AppExchange application are relevant for the AdSales process:

AdPosition | f42_dispo__AdPosition__c | Defines the possible placements of a single publication (e.g. U4, mm ad, Skyscraper, etc.). |
Ad Format | f42_dispo__AdFormat__c | Concrete dimensions can be assigned both to the respective publication and to possible associated placements. |
Ad Dimension | f42_dispo__AdDimension__c | Optional. Serves as a superordinate grouping of ad formats of different publications with the same proportionality (e.g. 1/2 page landscape). |
Issue | f42_dispo__Issue__c | Allows the assignment of fixed issues (booklets) to a publication. An issue has a fixed publication date. |
Ad Position Placement | f42_dispo__AdPosCatalog__c | Defines the availability (limitation for print and sale) of a placement per issue. |
Product Property | sf42_quotefx__SF42_QuoProductProperty__c | Record type Product property without calculation, type Table, defines availability. |
Product Group | sf42_quotefx__SF42_productGroup__c | Product groups can be assigned to the publication, the product and the product property. |
Product | Product2 | Salesforce Standard. In MediaVelox the product is extended by relations to placement, ad format and product groups. |
Price Book | Pricebook2 | Salesforce Standard. Product prices are stored in the price books. |
Price Book Entry | PricebookEntry | Salesforce Standard. Product prices within a price book. |
Booking | f42_dispo__DispoBook__c | Object for managing generated bookings and reservations. Dispobook entries (booking items) are generated in the sales process and reduce the availability of the higher-level placement. |
Block Position Rule | f42_dispo__BlockPositions__c | Rule that specifies that a placement blocks another placement when a reservation/booking is made (e.g. because they physically occupy the same or part of the same space). Block positions are generated on the basis of this rule. |
Blocked Position | f42_dispo__DispoBlockedItems__c | Available slots within a section result from blocking rules. They will be assigned to the capacity of a position. The object, as master-detail, is attached below Dispobook_c, to define additional positions running against the availability of a position option AdPosCatalog__c. |
Publication Cycle | PublicationCycle__c | Optional. Defines basic publication cycles (publication days) such as daily, Monday - Friday, etc. |
Company Code | SAP_CompanyCode__c | Optional. Mapping of company codes. |
Sales Organisation | SAP_SalesOrg__c | Optional. Enables to group publications (objects, titles) in sales organizations (legal organizations within a publishing house). |
Publication Group | MVX_PublicationGroup__c | Optional. Enables grouping of publications. |
Publication Group Rule | MVX_PublicationGroupRule__c | Optional. Used to assign scale rules to a publication group; the scales can be set depending on the number of ads, pages or target sales. |
Proof of Delivery | ProofofDelivery__c | Optional. Specimen copy rules enable accounts to be assigned to a booking to which specimen copies are to be sent after a publication is published. Is set as the master detail below Dispobook__c. |
