Copying Products from Opportunity / Using Quote as Template

Introduction
In addition to the individual selection of products via the product search, you also have the option of loading existing opportunity products into a new quote or using an existing quote as a template, which of course also includes the products it contains.
Both options save you time in your daily work and enable transparent versioning of quotes. If a quote is used as a template, it is also easier if changes to texts and images are also transferred to the new version.
Overview and product selection
After selecting an existing quote as a template or clicking the "Copy products from opportunity" button, a window opens in the editor with an overview of all products to be transferred, including the most important quote columns in appero quote:

Special case sum discount
Sum discounts are also displayed in the product overview with the associated Discount Produkt. Deselecting an existing summary discount may make sense when syncing from the opportunity under certain circumstances, e.g. if the sum discount item is hard-coded into the template and the discount is calculated automatically via a Discount Matrix. In this case, if you deselect the product in the preview, you will prevent the total discount from being duplicated in the quote after the opportunity products are taken over.
Takeover of the existing products
Click on "OK" to start the automatic product transfer:
The progress bar shows the status of the product transfer and closes after successful insertion of the products into the quote.
Exceptions
Automatic product transfer is only interrupted when user interaction is required:

In these cases, the product detail dialog opens and you can make the necessary adjustments. The automatic transfer is then continued.
For products that have product properties without an entry, but which are not mandatory, the detail dialog is skipped. You can add the data after inserting the products in the detail dialog
