Introduction
For very large price books, we recommend the server product search. It skips the initial loading of the active price book entries when opening the quote editor and queries the products directly from the server as needed.
Helpful list views and the possibility of multiple product selection are further advantages of the Server Product Search.
The server product search in detail
Clicking on the plus icon now opens a modal with a list view of the products available for selection instead of the product list:
The functions in detail:
Display in the Editor | Function | Explanation |

| Search input | All text fields are searchable via full text search. Values in number, date and currency fields are only recognized if entered exactly. |
| Show selected | Activate the toggle to display only the already selected products |
| Show all | Switch from the product selection view back to the complete list. Your selection is not affected. |
| In the top line you will see the displayed fields of the product list view together with the possibility to select all products at once. Using the arrow to the right of the column label, you can sort the contents in ascending and descending order | In the standard system the fields product name, description, product code, the two product groups and the list price are displayed. In the settings, your admin has the option to set a custom list view. |
| Selection via checkbox | Select the products you need, multiple selection is possible. |

| Add Products | All marked products will be added to the quote in the order of selection. |
| Cancel | Closes the search and deletes the selection. |
After you have marked all the required products and activated the "Add products" button, they will be added to the quote one after the other in the order of selection.
In case of multiple selection, the progress bar informs you how many products are still to be added:
