After you have selected the appropriate template or an existing quote as a template, the quote lightning editor opens. Here you have all relevant tools and information in view. They are located in the blue header at the top of the editor and in two vertical toolbars on the left side:Image Removed

In the header the name of the opportunity belonging to the quote, quote number and the stored opportunity contact are shown. You can also edit the quote date and the quote valid date:Image Removed

Quit" function offers these following options:

Cancel - switch back to the quote editor

Exit without saving

Quit -

the view changes to the opportunitySave and exit

Saves the quote and closes the editor - the view changes to the preview page of the quote

Base data

In the Base Data area, the quote name, date and validity can be edited. When sending quotes via appero quote, it should be noted that a quote can only be sent to contacts that also match the account of the quote.

Therefore, the entry in the contact field is checked to see if it matches the stored account and, if necessary, a message is displayed: “This contact does not match the selected account.”

Saving the contact is still possible. For more complex processes involving different accounts and contacts, we recommend the Multi-level Sales option.

External vertical toolbar

In the external vertical toolbar you will find the basic functions for further processing of the finished quote, such as saving, sending, etc.

Copy products from opportunity

Transfers existing opportunity products to the current quote.

Note: Unless there are no products stored at the opportunity, the function will display the message "There are no Products to copy for this quote."

Warning

Note on the conversion to appero quote Lightning

In appero quote Lightning, the "Copy products from opportunity" function does not yet differentiate between "Add" and "Replace" existing opportunity products. They are always added to the existing quote. This means that summary discounts that are already in the template as a quote element are loaded additionally with the sync and therefore appear twice. If necessary, please adjust your quote document accordingly after product acceptance (status Winter 20).
