Bundles are fixed product combinations, consisting of a parent product and one or more child products, which are also mutually dependent in the quote and are offered at a total price.
The child products can be freely editable in quantity ("Accessory" type) or relative to the parent product ("Component" type).

Explanation
Component
Playstation bundle, consisting of:
one PlayStation console
two matching controllers
two headsets
one game
If the quantity of the parent bundle increases, the child products will increase accordingly, i.e. if you have two consoles, you will get four controllers and headsets and two games each.
It is not possible to edit the quantity of child products separately.

The quantities of the bundle components are independent of each other and can be edited separately. Of course, this may change the bundle price.
There are two options for bundle calculation, which are defined at the parent product: Either the parent product alone determines the bundle price and the components are ignored, or the child products add up to the total price of the bundle, i.e. the parent product.
These two criteria - quantity dependencies and costing rules - clearly distinguish bundle products from AddOn products or bricks with products.
Insert bundle products in the editor
A bundle product can be found next to all simple products under its name in the product search, there is no special labeling at this point:
Click on the plus sign (or double-click) to open the Bundle Details dialog. It shows you all components of the bundle at a glance, so it includes several products:
The Bundle Detail Dialog
In the upper part of the window you can see the parent product, which also outputs the total price of the bundle. The columns displayed correspond to the general configuration in the quote and run through all child products. You can find them in the section below.

The bundle in the quote editor
In the editor the bundle counts as a single item, the child products are shown here slightly indented to visualize the dependency.
This also means that the individual components cannot be edited separately, e.g. a bundle can only be duplicated as a whole, alternatively set or shown or hidden.
Global settings like editability of quantity or discount columns or numbering are defined in appero quote setup during bundle configuration.
The visibility of the columns for the child products can currently only be defined via CSS for the view in the PDF. In the editor, the visibility is based on the global column layout.
The bundle product in PDF
In PDF bundle products are displayed like ordinary products:.
An alternative style for your bundle products can be stored individually in the CSS of your quote template.
Limits
The outline order of a bundle product can currently not be changed manually
The product groups of child products can only be applied to product properties in the background. They cannot be displayed in the editor, changed or used for summation.
Only the parent bundle product is currently displayed in the overview component.
