Possible criteria for an approval process

The automated approval processes in Salesforce give you much better control over quote approval and dispatch. Approval processes can be configured in a flexible way, e.g. depending on authorizations or trigger criteria by the quote calculation.

If an approval process is initiated, the quote cannot be sent. The "Send via Email" and "Copy Products to Opportunity" buttons are hidden:

The typical approval process has the following steps:

  • The quote is submitted for approval. To do this, you will find the "Submit for Approval" button on the quote record:

  • The approver receives a request to evaluate the quote - they accept or reject the approval request.

You can always see the current status of the approval process from the path above the preview:

Once approved, you can send the created quote to the recipient directly from Salesforce.
