General

Preisbücher in Salesforce dienen der Ausstattung von Produkten mit spezifischen Preisen. Die Differenzierung von Preisen kann beispielsweise durch unterschiedliche Kundengruppen oder Regionen bedingt sein. In appero quote dienen Preisbücher darüber hinaus speziellen Einsatzzwecken, z.B. für Genehmigungsprozesse oder vorgegebene Rabatte.

Zuweisen der Preisbücher

Das folgende Beispiel zeigt die Verwendung von Preisbüchern

Price books in Salesforce are used to assign specific prices to products. The differentiation of prices can be due to different customer groups or regions, for example. In appero quote, price books also serve special purposes, e.g. for approval processes or specified discounts.

Assigning price books

The following example shows the use of price books in appero quote:

  1. Salesforce

bietet ein sog. Standard-Preisbuch. Falls Sie ein weiteres Preisbuch anlegen möchten, klicken Sie auf „+“ und wählen Sie das Objekt „Preisbücher“. Dann legen Sie über „Neu“ das Preisbuch an.
Im nächsten Schritt öffnen Sie das gewünschte Produkt in Salesforce. Geben Sie über die Themenliste "Preisbücher" zunächst einen sog. „Standardpreis“ ein.

Über die Schaltfläche „Zu Preisbuch hinzufügen“ in der Themenliste „Preisbücher“ lässt sich das Produkt beliebig vielen Preisbüchern zuzuweisen und mit Preisen versehen.
  • Vor Erstellen des Angebots müssen Sie auch der Opportunity das richtige Preisbuch zuweisen, ansonsten erscheint eine Fehlermeldung und der Editor kann nicht geladen werden.
    • Note

    Damit Sie im Angebotsprozess auf die hinterlegten Preise zugreifen können, ist es wichtig, dass sowohl Preisbuch als auch Preisbucheintrag über die Checkbox IsActive aktiviert sind.

    Im Angebotsprozess stehen Ihnen somit nur diejenigen Produkte und Preise zur Auswahl, die in dem der Opportunity hinterlegten Preisbuch enthalten sind.

    Note

    Ein einziges Produkt lässt sich mehreren Preisbüchern mit unterschiedlichen Preisen und sogar Währungen zuordnen, was eine noch flexiblere Gestaltung der Angebote ermöglicht.

    Umgekehrt ist es nicht möglich, einer Opportunity gleichzeitig zwei der von Ihnen angelegten Preisbücher zuzuweisen.

    Warning

    Bei Preisbüchern mit mehreren Tausend aktiven Einträgen kann das Laden des Editors durch eine Cache-Überlastung verhindert werden.  Legen Sie in diesem Fall einen Setup-Text, Typ Parameter, mit Namen skipPricebookEntryCacheOnLoad an und schreiben Sie in den Textbereich den Wert true. 

    Alternativ empfehlen wir Preisbücher mit einer geringeren Anzahl aktiver Einträge. Dies hat zusätzlich den Vorteil, dass der Angebotseditor schneller geladen wird.

    Preisbuchprüfung bei bestehenden Angebotsdatensätzen

    Selbstverständlich werden nur Produkte mit aktivem Preisbucheintrag im appero quote Editor zur Auswahl. Die Preisbuchprüfung bei bestehenden Angeboten auf die darin enthaltenen Produkte gestaltet sich hingegen unterschiedlich:

  • Handelt es sich um eine Angebotsvorlage, so werden bei jedem Bearbeiten die aktuellen Preise für die enthaltenen Produkte gezogen.
  • Handelt es sich um ein bestehendes Angebot, so bleiben beim Bearbeiten die einmal gezogenen Preise unverändert, da diese ja evtl. schon an den Kunden kommuniziert wurden.
    • Beim Bearbeiten von Angebotsdatensätzen, die weder auf einer Angebotsvorlage noch auf einem existierenden Angebot beruhen - in diesem Fall ist das Feld

    2. In the next step, open the desired product in Salesforce. First enter a so-called " Standard Price" via the related list "Price Books".

    3. Using the "Add to Price Book" button in the "Price Books" related list, the product can be assigned to any number of price books and provided with prices.

    4. Before creating the quote, you must also assign the correct price book to the opportunity, otherwise an error message will appear and the editor will not load.

    Note

    In order to be able to access the stored prices in the quoting process, it is important that both price book and price book entry are activated via the IsActive checkbox.

    In the quoting process, only those products and prices are available for selection that are contained in the price book stored in the opportunity.

    Note

    A single product can be assigned to several price books with different prices and even currencies, which allows even more flexibility in creating quotes.

    Conversely, it is not possible to assign two of the price books you created to one opportunity at the same time.

    Warning

    For pricebooks with several thousand active entries, loading the editor can be prevented by a cache overload.  In this case, create a setup text, type parameter, named skipPricebookEntryCacheOnLoad and write the value true in the text area.

    Alternatively, we recommend pricebooks with a smaller number of active entries. This has the additional advantage that the offer editor is loaded faster.

    Price book checking for existing quote data records

    Naturally, only products with an active price book entry will be available for selection in the appero quote editor. The price book checking of existing quotes for the products contained therein, on the other hand, is different:

    • If it is a quote template, the current prices for the products it contains are pulled each time you edit it.

    • If it is an existing quote, the prices drawn once remain unchanged during editing, as they may have already been communicated to the customer.

    • When editing quote records that are neither based on a quote template nor on an existing quote - in this case the sf42_quotefx__SF42_relatedQuote__c

    leer - erfolgt weder eine initiale Kalkulation noch eine Preisbuchprüfung auf die enthaltene Produkte.

    Deaktivierte Preisbucheinträge oder Produkte werden in allen drei Fällen als solche gekennzeichnet und beim Speichern aus dem Dokument entfernt.

    Deactivated price book entries or products are marked as such in all three cases and removed from the document when saving. Also, active price book entries in inactive price books cannot be loaded in the editor.
