Einführung

Mithilfe von Platzhaltern oder sog. "Mergefields" können Sie Feldwerte aus Salesforce dynamisch in Angeboten auslesen. Das heißt, Sie können Informationen nicht nur sehr schnell im Angebot abbilden, sondern können auch sicher sein, dass diese aktuell sind.

Sofern Sie im Angebotsprozess weitere Variablen benötigen, können Sie diese über die Mergefields-Sidebar mit wenigen Klicks hinzufügen.

Die Mergefields-Sidebar im Angebotseditor

Zugriff auf die Sidebar im Editor haben Sie immer dann, wenn Sie im Inline-Bearbeitungsmodus eines der folgenden Angebotselemente sind:

• Adressbereich

• Textelement

• Produktbeschreibung

• Header und Footer

Klicken Sie dazu einmal in das Angebotselement und anschließend auf das Stiftsymbol:

Es öffnet sich sowohl die Rich-Text-Bearbeitung als auch am rechten Editorrand die Mergefields-Sidebar:

Folgende Aktionen stehen Ihnen hier zur Verfügung:

Anzeige im Editor	Funktion	Erklärung
Image Removed	Kategorie auswählen	Im obersten Eingabefeld können Sie die Anzeige auf das referenzierte Objekt filtern: Account Angebot Benutzer Kontakt Opportunity Die Liste der verfügbaren Variablen wird dementsprechend eingeschränkt.
Image Removed	Mergefield suchen	Via Volltextsuche können Sie nach der gewünschten Variable oder dem zugehörigen Wert suchen.
Image Removed	Anzeige der Variable, darunter der Wert im aktuellen Angebot	Note Es werden nur diejenigen Variablen angezeigt, die im jeweiligen Angebot auch einen Wert aufweisen. Wird die Sidebar beim Bearbeiten von Templates verwendet, werden sämtliche Variablen angezeigt, die Anzeige eines Wertes entfällt ggf.
Image Removed	Klicken Sie einmal auf die gewünschte Variable, um sie in den Zwischenspeicher zu laden. Die Variable wird dabei blau markiert.	Der Doppelklick hat hier keine Funktion, das einfache Markieren reicht.

Über Copy & Paste können Sie nun die Variable im Textbereich platzieren:

Sobald Sie den Editiermodus verlassen, wird die Variable ausgelesen:

Introduction

You can use "merge fields" to dynamically read field values from Salesforce into quotes. This means that you can not only map information very quickly in the quote, but you can also be sure that it is up-to-date.

If you need additional variables in the quote process, you can add them via the Mergefields sidebar with just a few clicks.

The mergefields sidebar in the quote editor

You can access the sidebar in the editor whenever you are in the inline editing mode of one of the following quote items:

• Address range

• Text element

• Product description

• Header and Footer

To do this, click once in the quote item and then click the pencil icon:

Both the rich text editing and the Mergefields sidebar at the right editor edge will open:

The following actions are available here:

Display in the editor	Function	Explanation
Image Added	Select object	In the top input field you can filter the display to the referenced object: Account Quote User Contact Opportunity The list of available variables is restricted accordingly.
Image Added	Search Mergefield	Via full text search you can search for the desired variable or the associated value.
Image Added	Display of the variable, including the value in the current quote	Note Only those variables are displayed that also have a value in the respective quote. If the sidebar is used when editing templates, all variables are displayed, the display of a value may be omitted.
Image Added	Click once on the desired variable to load it into the clipboard. The variable will be highlighted in blue.	The double click has no function here, the simple marking is enough.

A toast shows you the successful transfer to the clipboard:
