Configuration of add-on products

Add-on products, i.e. products that are interdependent in the quoting process, are created in the add-on product object sf42_quotefx__sf42_ProductEntry__c angelegt.
Die Produkt-Hierarchie entsteht mithilfe von Lookup-Feldern auf vorhandene Produkte. So besteht ein Zusatzprodukt aus einem übergeordneten Produkt - The product hierarchy is created using lookup fields on existing products. Thus, an add-on product consists of a parent product - sf42_ProductID1__c - und einem untergeordneten Produkt and a child product - sf42_ProductID2__c.
Zusatzprodukte werden, sofern vorhanden, im Produkt-Detail-Dialog beim Einfügen eines Produktes abgefragt.

appero quote unterstützt bis zu 8.000 Zusatzprodukte im Angebotsprozess. Wichtig für die korrekte Darstellung der Produkt-Hierarchie im Angebotseditor ist, dass wirklich sämtliche vorhandenen Zusatzprodukte in Ihrer Org - nicht nur für das jeweils ausgesuchte Produkt - korrekt konfiguriert sind. Sie erhalten ansonsten eine Fehlermeldung.

Wir raten davon ab, Zusatzprodukte mit Vorauswahl oder als verpflichtende Produkteigenschaften im Zusammenhang mit den Funktionen "Sync from Opportunity" oder "Angebot als Vorlage" zu verwenden. Dies führt zum einen zu doppelten Produkten und zu fehlerhafter Berechnung Ihres Angebots.

Verzichten Sie in diesem Fall auf eine Vorauswahl der Zusatzprodukte supports up to 8,000 add-on products in the quoting process. It is important for the correct display of the product hierarchy in the quote editor that really all existing add-on products in your org - not only for the respective selected product - are configured correctly. Otherwise you will receive an error message.

Add-on products in conjunction with the Sync from Opportunity function

We do not recommend using add-on products with pre-selection or as mandatory product properties in connection with the "Sync from Opportunity" or "Quote as Template" functions. On the one hand, this leads to duplicate products and incorrect calculation of your quote.

In this case, do not preselect the add-on products (SF42_preselected__c = false)  oder die Kennzeichnung der Produkteigenschaft als verpflichtend or mark the product property as mandatory (SF42_isMandatory__c = false), und überspringen Sie beim Laden der gespeicherten Produkte die Auswahl von Zusatzprodukten.

Zusatzprodukte im Angebotseditor

Es gibt zwei alternative Möglichkeiten, Zusatzprodukte im Angebot verfügbar zu machen:

Konfiguration über Setup-Text und Produktkonfiguration

Der aktive Setup-Text showAddOn - Wert true - ist eine Voraussetzung dafür, dass vorhandene Zusatzprodukte im Angebotseditor angezeigt werden.

Konfiguration über Produkteigenschaft und Produktkonfiguration

Zusatzprodukte können auch als 'Produkteigenschaft ohne Berechnung' vom Typ 'Zubehörprodukte' und auf Basis von Produkten oder Produktgruppen definiert werden. Die Produkteigenschaft wird immer am übergeordneten Produkt angelegt.

Sobald eine solche Produkteigenschaft aktiv ist, verliert der Setup-Text showAddOn seine Funktion; es werden nur dann Zusatzprodukte aus der Hierarchie abgefragt, wenn die Produkteigenschaft zutrifft.
Die Produkteigenschaft 'Zubehörprodukte' kann auch verpflichtend eingerichtet werden. Der Produkt-Detail-Dialog kann dann nicht geschlossen werden, ohne dass der Benutzer im Reiter 'Zubehörprodukte' eine Auswahl trifft oder eine Vorauswahl bestätigt.
Note

Für den Benutzer ist im Editor kein Unterschied zwischen den beiden Möglichkeiten ersichtlich.

Positionierung der Zusatzprodukte

Zusatzprodukte können gemäß ihrer eigenen Produktgruppen in der Angebotsvorlage platziert werden oder direkt unterhalb des übergeordneten Produkts. Diese Einstellung können Sie über den Optionsschalter im Reiter Zusatzprodukte festlegen:

Den Default-Wert der Positionierung können Sie über den Setuptext addAddOnsRespectingProductGroups festlegen - Sie finden die Einstellung Setup im Bereich "Oberfläche" als Schalter "Zubehörprodukte nach Produktgruppe einfügen". Wenn Sie die Option aktivieren, werden Zubehörprodukte anhand ihrer Produktgruppen ins Angebot eingefügt, ansonsten werden sie nach dem übergeordneten Produkt eingefügt.

Note

Zusatzprodukte werden nach der Auswahl im Detail-Dialog des übergeordneten Produkts ohne weitere Zwischenschritte direkt an der gewünschten Stelle platziert. Der Detail-Dialog wird nur geöffnet, wenn eine der folgenden Ausnahmen vorliegt:

  • eine verpflichtende Produkteigenschaft ohne Eintrag liegt vor
  • ein Zusatzprodukt hat selbst Zusatzprodukte
    • ein Zusatzprodukt hat Produkteigenschaften aus

    Add-on products in the quote editor

    There are two alternative ways to make add-on products available in the quote:

    Configuration via setup text and product configuration

    The active setup text showAddOn - value true - is a prerequisite for existing add-on products to be displayed in the quote editor.

    Configuration via product property and product configuration

    Add-on products can also be defined as 'Product Property without Price Influence' of the type 'Related products' and based on products or product groups. The product property is always created on the parent product.

    As soon as such a product property is active, the setup text showAddOn loses its function; add-on products from the hierarchy are only queried if the product property applies.


    The product property 'Related products' can also be set up as mandatory. The product detail dialog cannot then be closed without the user making a selection in the 'Related products' tab or confirming a preselection.

    Note

    For the user, no difference between the two options is apparent in the editor.

    Positioning of the add-on products

    Add-on products can be placed according to their own product groups in the offer template or directly below the parent product. You can specify this setting using the radio button in the Add-on products tab:

    You can set the default value of positioning using the setup text addAddOnsRespectingProductGroups - you can find the setup in the "Interface" area as the "Add related products by product group" button. If you enable the option, related products will be inserted into the quote based on their product groups, otherwise they will be inserted after the parent product.

    Note

    Add-on products are placed directly at the desired position after selection in the detail dialog of the parent product without any further intermediate steps. The detail dialog is only opened if one of the following exceptions exists:

    • a mandatory product property without an entry exists

    • an add-on product has add-on products itself

    • an add-on product has product properties from MediaVelox
